Service Designer

Senior Service Designers are responsible for the design of practical, functional and desirable digital services that make sense within the context of a customer鈥檚 business objectives and technology roadmaps. You are great at gathering and utilizing business and customer insights, to have the ability to reframe service challenges, articulate opportunities, define strategies, create concepts and lead the development of innovative new services from initial brief to delivery.

You fluently combine human, business and technology viewpoints, and master customer listening. You are familiar with leading contextual user research, mapping user experiences and customer journeys as well as leading co-creation workshops, idea generation, prototyping as well as blueprinting service solutions.

Your fellow team members will rely on you to:

  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Operate with autonomy and engage in all stages of the service design lifecycle, from initial research to the final service blueprint, and at times, implementing the experience design vision leveraging an existing design system
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Plan and conduct qualitative research
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Utilize systems thinking to synthesize research findings into comprehensive service scenarios, customer journeys, and interactive prototypes
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Champion cross-functional evaluations of existing service ecosystems, steering dialogues to deepen team understanding and resolve uncertainties
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Collaborate on service specifications and ensure adherence to inclusivity and accessibility principles
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Articulate service strategies and integrated experience visions in partnership with business analysts and technology architects
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Refine and finalize the service touchpoints and interactions, considering both digital and physical channels
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Foster a team culture of collaboration, openly sharing iterative developments and learning
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Guide the translation of service blueprints into real-world application, providing thorough documentation and training to stakeholders
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Work closely with design peers, strategists, product managers, and technical leads to ensure our services align with user needs and create meaningful user experiences

In this role, you will:

  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Understand goals, business requirements and constraints, market opportunities and user needs to help define opportunity areas and experience requirements
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Plan, conduct, and synthesize research, testing and prototyping with users and SMEs
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Design wireframes, screens, and prototypes to illustrate product behavior along defined use cases
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Map existing and future experiences, both front and backstage users who are involved, through journey maps, blueprints, and ecosystem maps
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Together with cross-disciplinary teams, create digital product experiences that push the bar for the current and future customer and user experience
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Help define new product/service value propositions and influence roadmaps
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Craft compelling narratives that bridge user aspirations with business objectives
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Design wireframes, screens, and prototypes to illustrate product behaviour along defined use cases
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Document product/service requirements and guidelines for following stages of implementation

We want you to have:

路聽聽聽聽 5+聽years of professional experience/interaction聽in service design (although you might have had a different job title, like 鈥淯X designer鈥), and a robust practical and theoretical grounding in experience design through your studies

  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to work onsite at company headquarters in Chicago three days per week
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Familiarity with articulating and incorporating accessibility standards and guidelines into design documents and specifications
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 A passion for understanding customer and user needs, as well as experience working with UX researchers and conducting UX research
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Exemplary core design skills, demonstrated in your portfolio of recent work
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 A love of learning new things and growing your skills by diving in head-first to the task at hand
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Excellent presentation skills, with a strong ability to clearly explain your work to others
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 A deep knowledge of and expertise using design and prototyping tools (such as Figma) and design language systems
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Affinity for frog鈥檚 values, and a passion for creating products that meet peoples鈥 functional and emotional needs
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Experience working in an agile product delivery environment
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Business level ability to conduct business in English
  • 路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Penchant to nerd-out on design and emerging trends
