What will you be doing?

Experience Designers are responsible for the design of digitally-enabled products and services. They use their broad skillset across interaction, visual and service design to create holistic solutions, from early-stage idea generation to detailed design of product features and prototypes.

As an Experience Design Intern, you will support teams on client-facing and internal projects. You will learn by doing, with guidance from experienced practitioners who will help you understand frog’s methodologies and deliver high-quality work in the context of inter-disciplinary projects.

Project teams rely on Experience Designers to:

  • Analyze existing solutions and map opportunity spaces (through journey maps, blueprints and ecosystem maps) to drive understanding across stakeholders
  • Understand user needs, market opportunities, business requirements, and technical feasibility to help define project requirements
  • Conduct and synthesize foundational research interviews and usability testing sessions
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to create digital product experience concepts that push the bar for quality in a given field
  • Execute the detailed design of selected concepts—working across service components, interaction logic and visual language expression
  • Create digital design artifacts (user flows, UI mock-ups, and prototypes) that demonstrate product behavior for defined use cases and features
  • Support the successful handover of project outcomes to the client through persuasive presentations and thorough documentation
  • Apply holistic critical thinking and see beyond a particular discipline or workstream

We want you to have:

  • Recently completed a university degree in Interaction Design, Visual Communications, Human Computer Interaction or a related design discipline (we also accept interns who are in the middle of a Master’s degree)
  • Strong foundational design skills in typography, color, layout and visual hierarchy
  • Knowledge of interaction patterns across mobile/desktop platforms, and experience defining product logic through site maps, user flows, wireframes, etc.
  • Experience applying established brand guidelines and working with UI component libraries
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, such as Figma
  • Ability to rationalize your decisions effectively and present your work clearly, through strong presentation design and storytelling techniques
  • A product development mindset, including openness to collaborating with business and tech teams, working iteratively based on user feedback, managing constraints, etc.
  • Willingness to jump between different client challenges, up-skilling quickly onto new projects and technologies
  • Affinity with frog’s values, and a passion for creating products that meet peoples’ functional and emotional needs
  • Business level fluency in English & German

It would be a bonus if you had:

  • Understanding of AI concepts and experience with prompt engineering
  • Knowledge of digital accessibility and eco-design principles
  • Experience building scalable design language systems for digital products
  • Skills in motion design and/or video editing
  • Understanding of basic front-end coding languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc)
  • Experience working with Agile scrum tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.

Application Instructions

  • As part of your application, please include a link or PDF of your portfolio of recent work.
