Director, Program Management

We are seeking an experienced Program Management Director to be a leader in our studio. Program Management Directors are responsible for recruiting, coaching, and retaining a world-class team of program managers. They provide team and account leadership overseeing multidisciplinary programs while navigating heavily matrixed client organisations. Our Directors champion a human-centred design process that enables our clients to deliver distinctively better experiences and transform their businesses at scale.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the studio program management team providing career development and mentoring
  • Actively contribute to studio leadership as a collaborative partner with other discipline leads with a focus on process and operational best practices
  • Be responsible for overall studio delivery of successful, profitable, and impactful programs that meet and exceed client expectations
  • Win new business by leading pitch meetings, defining program approaches, and promoting frog’s capabilities
  • Partner with business development, general managers and discipline leads to develop account strategies for major accounts that articulate measurable business results for our clients
  • Expand contacts with key client executives while maintaining strong post-engagement relationships as a trusted advisor
  • Leverage deep project management expertise, including management of project scope, schedule, issues, risks, communication cadence, as well as team and client relationships, to ensure that a portfolio of engagements are delivered on-time, on-budget and with high-quality deliverables
  • Drive the development and enhancement of frog’s program management best practices

We want you to have:

  • 10+ years in consulting, agency, or industry related experience with exceptional abilities in building client relationships, team building and program management
  • proven leadership experience with the ability to recruit, manage and mentor a high calibre team of diverse program/project/product managers
  • Deep understanding of project management and solution delivery tools and methodologies, with proven ability to manage project scope, project teams, and client expectations
  • demonstrable experience managing medium to large-sized teams of cross discipline resources with complex, multi-location programs while maintaining budget
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and enable cohesiveness across diverse individual skills and styles
  • Experience in business development practices including contract writing, negotiation, and a commitment to contract compliance
  • Business-level fluency in English

It would be a bonus if you had:

  • Led a client service organisation, preferably with top tier consulting firm or major design studio in a client facing role.
  • Proven account management skills with experience developing major accounts
  • Made your mark in product design and agile delivery
  • Empathy for those we design for
