A UX Writer is responsible for writing and editing content that will be used in digital interfaces and web experiences. He or she empathizes with the target user and creates content that is intuitive, simple to understand, and aligned with user goals, as well as the overarching needs of the business. The UX Writer acts as a user champion, creating clear and concise content for apps, web pages, e-mail campaigns, editorials, blogs, social networks, and other digital media.

Tasks

  • Create/edit content in line with the company's content strategy and/or style guide
  • Coordinate with UI designers on navigation, interface elements, page content, etc.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to generate textually coherent mockups or workflows
  • Adapt content to existing design structure and information architecture or help put system in place
  • Work with design and development teams to assure excellent brand and product communication
  • Conduct content audits to ensure content quality is high and consistent

Skills:

  • Academic level of the target language (writer, linguist, philologist, communication expert, etc.)
  • Excellent creative/technical writing and editing skills for digital products and services
  • Experience communicating with target users
  • Experience creating content for digital environments
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-discipline design teams
  • Ability to gather and synthesize feedback
  • Ability to work in various text media a plus (Office, HTML, CMS)
  • Ability to work with design tools a plus (Adobe, Figma, Sketch)
