Kevinās talk āThe Invisible Hand Behind Designā will address questions such as: Why do router interfaces always suck? Why do old buildings look better? And crucially, why are there pineapples on buildings all over London? Kevin looks at how many hidden factors such as economics, materials and wages have had a surprising influence on design over the centuries, and how thatās still happening today. With his talk, Kevin posits that as designers seek to be involved in ever more important product and service decisions, itās critical for them to become aware of and articulate about the macro-trends that affect their work.
