Business Operations Director (Center of Excellence)

What will you be doing?

The Operations Director is a senior role and a key contributor to drive growth, efficiency and profitability for frog Milan Center of Excellence and the wider Capgemini group. Working cross-functionally at the intersection between sales, finance and HR to establish and drive operational processes that allow frog to maximise its impact on clients and employees.

More specifically the Business Operations Director will be responsible for the following:

• Defining processes and leading operational activities in support of frog teams engaged in business development activities (e.g. pricing, internal alignment and negotiation, etc.)
• Support sales process from opportunity qualification to deal review ensuring compliance with Capgemini requirements interacting with Legal, BRM and Cyber Security teams
• Business pipeline management and business forecasting, using internal tools (e.g. Thor etc.) and helping to streamline current processes
• Orchestration of intercompany relationships (supporting demand management and commercial alignment with other group’s entities)
• Working with the local PM team to adhere to group policies and procedures (including but not limited to sales, procurement, travel, staffing, etc.)
• Partnering with local and Group’s Finance functions to provide and maintain a solid business performance management setup, according to team and group’s KPIs
• Creating and owning a solid and dynamic management reporting framework to track key performance metrics (operational and, where relevant, financial)
• Acting as a key member of the local leadership team, proactively influencing frog and wider Capgemini stakeholders to continuously strike the right balance between frog’s business specific needs and group compliance

The Operations Director will collaborate with the frog leadership to devise and execute improvements to existing processes, as well as formulating consistent operating plans, strategies and tactics to maintain ongoing alignment between local frog’s and Group strategic objectives, always considering both financial and people-related angles.

We want you to have:

• 10+ years experience, of which 5 in a similar role, ideally from an international professional services organization
• Strong Knowledge of relevant operational, commercial and financial practices in Capgemini
• Demonstrable experience in leadership and team management
• Demonstrable experience in successful strategic planning and execution
• Ability to exercise sound business judgment with a highly effective management style
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Highly skilled in relationship management, displaying flexibility, diplomacy and patience, team focus, high level of emotional intelligence and a strong ability to cut through and deal with ambiguity
• Motivation to drive and follow process development and implementation
• Italian speaker, with excellent English skills

The frog Center of Excellence in Milan is a newly established unit, that collaborates with frog and Group teams globally, providing high calibre innovation, strategy and design expertise, with specific focus on convergent design.

The team is working with Global 100 brands like GE, Samsung and AXA, across key industries like healthcare, Telco and Media, to drive continuous business reinvention and innovation toward the cutting edge.
